i am headed to Copenhagen today for the MAD symposium hosted by my friend Rene the team at Noma. We connected over a decade ago through our shared love of turning produce into art. The MAD symposum is an exciting gathering for professionals in the food industry to share ideas, take part in inspiring talks, and build meaningful connections. Build to Last is the theme this year and we will explore how we can best ensure that our planet, our communities, our industry, and we ourselves continue to thrive—now, and in the future. I AM SO EXCITED to share what i learn and everything i am going to EAT!!!!

CHERRIES. brooks cherries are my favorite, they are meaty, acidic and sweet. my body is about 80% cherries right now.
Sugar Snap Peas - i tried so many at the market this morning and i don’t think there is a bad one out there. the peas are sweet sweet sweet and the shells are so crispy. i am going to eat a few handfuls plain, and i would recommend blanching them and using my green bean recipes if you want to make them into a salad that celebrates their flavor.
Nectarines — specifically Regier Farm’s Zee Fire Nectarines. I WAIT ALL YEAR FOR THEM. located in the Fresno area. these are juicy, crispy and sweet. my keyboard is about to have nectarine juice all over it.
mulberries. i eat them plain. i can take down and entire box in one sitting. there are so many different varieties. you can’t go wrong. they are sweet and juicy - not comparable to any berry you will find at your local grocery store
magic myrna potatoes - my crowned jewel of potatoes. they are creamy and slighty sweet in the perfect way. i like to roast them in olive oil (check my feed for the recipe) or just eat with a little butter and salt.
