It was the perfect opportunity to try a chocolate olive oil cake recipe I’d been eyeing for a while (I usually stick to the classic version adding citrus, it is on my substack). The rich, earthy flavor of the olive oil really shines in this cake, which is delightfully moist with subtle hints of coffee.
To take it over the top, I paired it with fresh whipped cream and the tart-sweet magic of passion fruit. The combination is nothing short of remarkable.
